Not heard from me in a while
- don’t know if you really wanted to or not, but I’m back. So, what’s been keeping me away? Stuff, mainly. See, here I am writing my first post in nearly a month and I’m not really sure I have anything to say. A few big things to note: SOON – meaning as soon as I get my act together – I will have video downloads return to the site! Like, you can download all my videos from this site. Not the broken janky Vimeo biz I’ve got going now. Been spending this last month catching up on all my Vimeo downloads? Well, that’s not cool. Sorry you had to do that. The guys over at
New Life Church (
DIRT hosts) are the absolute best and have hooked me up with the space to handle the traffic. So, I’m incredibly grateful to them.
Otherwise?
If you’re an artist in the area (somewhere between Amarillo and the Mighty Mississippi) check out some art shows:
Mid-Southern Watercolorists
Arkansas League of Artists
I designed the sites, but don’t hold that against me, okay? I’m still new to this whole newfangled web design thing. What’s the internet? Get off my lawn!

Hey, so I’ve been getting questions on how to download these videos
So, here’s the deal. I can’t host files on my own site because I was topping off my bandwidth allotment just on the few videos I was hosting here, but donations at this point have not been sufficient to properly upgrade server costs, so I moved everything over to Vimeo. I did not realize when I dd so that Vimeo would be imposing restrictions on how many you could download per day. Just found that out last night. You can currently download three videos (I think) per day from Vimeo, which is still cool because I’m not creating three per day, so you’re bound to catch up.
Now, I understand at three videos per day it would take 46 days or so to get them all, which stinks. So, here’s the deal:
If you’re in the Little Rock area, send me a message, we’ll meet up for lunch or to just hang out as my thumb drive transfers all 7 or so gigs of videos to your computer. If you’re not in the area, sorry, but it looks like you may have a month and a half of fun in front of you.
I guess this is what happens when you’re running on a limited budget. So: here’s how
Step one, click on the vimeo logo on any video on this page, or on the “motion backgrounds” link under worship backgrounds in the navigation menu, which will take you to Vimeo.
Next step: sign up to create a Vimeo account or log in to your existing account. They’re free, so don’t worry.
Step three: Vimeo provides a download link for each video at the bottom right of each video page if I’ve allowed downloading – (which I have). Right click the download link and “save link as” to your desktop.
Four: place in your media player.

Just a clarification on the whole donations thing
so you understand my intent for this site and the reason they’re available in the first place.
I wanted to clarify what you can expect from me regarding donations: None of the money donated is going into my pocket. I am not and will not be getting new shoes with your donations. I, blessedly, have a job that allows me to buy shoes. Every penny donated will be funneled right back into the site, paying for a Flickr Pro account to host videos and files, GoDaddy hosting that will be expanding soon as we reach my allotted bandwidth amount, soon a Vimeo Pro account to host some of this video content, etc. I am not running this thing for profit – I’ve got the donations link there so that possibly I can break even on the cost of providing these, which is not free on my end. I want to thank those of you who have pitched in already – we’re already pretty close to recouping primary costs, and can look toward a future Vimeo Pro account. Thanks!
Clarification

So, guys, you might have noticed some minor changes around here
Just wanted to, you know, mention them. I’ve added search functionality to the top navigation bar – so you can search the site now! Yay! Hopefully the site navigation makes more sense now too. Oh, and we’re back to the old logo mixed with the new hotness–guys, I entertain myself. I’m going to continue to make tweaks as the weeks/months wear on, but search, you know, that’s a pretty big deal.I’ve also taken donations out of the posts
it kind of felt tacky out there beside every post.
If you’re feeling especially flush, you can still donate by clicking the link at the top. I’d again like to express my gratitude to those of you who have already pitched in. Thanks!
PS: Big hello to my guys out in Warsaw! 39 hits! Cosmetic Surgery
